It might sound cliché, but I’ve always known that my path would be connected to the arts and design. From an early age, I was passionate about painting and all things creative. My mum gave me my first painting kit when I was just 3 years old (and yes, she still hangs those early drawings on the wall). This love for art grew as I explored different mediums like pottery, drawing, and collage. By the age of 11, I discovered a particular fondness for drawing, especially characters from movies. I imagined myself as either an architect or a fashion designer, so I drew countless houses and clothes during that period.It wasn't until secondary school that I found my true calling: graphic design. I attended an all-arts school in Portugal, earning a diploma in communication design where I first learned about typography, photography, and design fundamentals. This was when I realized what kind of designer I wanted to be. However, I still had a challenge—I loved illustration and wasn't sure how to integrate it into my design practice. To solve this, I moved to the UK to study illustration and animation. During this time, I not only sharpened my illustration skills and gained hands-on experience with After Effects and motion graphics but also discovered how to blend my drawing expertise seamlessly with my design projects.
